The Rogue on The New Flesh

My flash fiction story, The Rogue, has been accepted and published on The New Flesh, a new horror flash ezine.

Read it-the best, and most intriguing and engaging, part of the story is when the kid knocks himself out on the jungle gym.

It actually brought back memories as I have knocked my head, I think it was my front teeth, on the jungle gym and it freakin' hurt. I survived though.

Too bad flash fiction doesn't give you too much room to be descriptive.

No, it doesn't, but the thing I really love about flash is that it teaches you to be really tight with your prose. Hell, it doesn't really teach so much as force it.

I got that vibe while reading it. There was this tension throughout that you wee itching to go more in depth, but the space constraints were preventing you from doing so.
